What does an engagement with G.I.S. actually look like?
Most start as a single, defined deliverable: an assessment, a plan review, a business impact analysis, or a technology program with a fixed fee and a written deliverable at completion. Some clients move to an ongoing retainer with a named point of contact and quarterly oversight. Litigation matters are billed hourly against a replenishing retainer.
Do you sell or install any of the security equipment you recommend?
No. G.I.S. does not sell, install, or service security equipment, and does not take commissions from vendors. The recommendation is the product, independent of whoever bids the work.
Can you work directly with our attorney or legal department?
Yes. G.I.S. consults for defense counsel and corporate legal departments on premises liability and negligent security matters, working from records provided by counsel.
What if we already have some security measures in place?
That is the more common starting point. We work with clients who already have measures in place and with clients building a program from the beginning.
